This class is an introduction to the multitude of laws surrounding HR and the workplace. It will provide a plethora of information on the legal aspects, as well as how to apply what you learn. Resources will be plenty in this class which will give you the knowledge to make day-to-day decisions that impact your bottom line and your reputation as an HR professional or a business owner. This class does not replace an attorney's expertise. It will provide you with the basics and the knowledge to know what questions to ask an attorney. The class will be in the form of a lecture, in addition to some practical lab work where students will determine the outcome of real HR situations.
